SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
TRANS AWARENESS TRAINING
THINGS WE DO:
Our informal support groups are run on a peer to peer support basis with at least one trained facilitator. We operate on a basis of mutual respect and have ground rules that are read and understood at the beginning of each meeting. There are not many rules but they are designed to help the meeting run smoothly and create a safe space for individuals to express themselves and speak openly about issues surrounding gender identity. The group is completely confidential.
Support Group Meetings:
Generate ~ 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month @ 7:30 - 9:30
Generate Plus ~ 1st Tuesday of the month @ 7:30 - 9:30
Generate Social ~ 3rd & 5th (when there is a 5th) Tuesday of the month
We have experienced trainers who attend schools, universities, workplaces and other organisations to delivery high quality trans awareness training.
Reaching out and helping people in the local community is a vital part of our work. No matter where you are or what stage of transition you're at we are here to help and advocate, particularly if you are feeling vulnerable or unable to find the help you need.
